*** Sound+Vision Tour ***
Personnel: David Bowie - vocals, guitar, saxophone, Adrian Belew - guitar, backing vocals, Erdal Kizilcay - bass guitar, backing vocals, Rick Fox - keyboards, backing vocals, Michael Hodges - drums .
Notes: Lineage: original silver CDs --> EAC --> FLAC. Cover art is included. (Note specially the scratched-out label numbers on the CDs! So these are really >>bootlegs<< to the core.)
Note on Beethoven's #9 Symphony: I think we came to the conclusion, that the inclusion of this particular intro (taken from Clockwork Orange OST) is tolerated in the torrents. Info taken from Bassman's Site: This re-issue is a "killer"!
The cover is made as an LP fold out cover in CD size, and each disc has a blue and white picture inner sleeve. Great and highly appreciated! The same excellent sound quality as on the Japanese original has been maintained. Same as the CD PARIS AU PRINTEMPS (1990). algonet.se/~bassman/bootlegs/index.html
The additional text at Bassman's Site refers to the cover art of PARIS AU PRINTEMPS, not of VISIONS AND SOUNDS. Personal note: In my current sharing mood of original silvers of Bowie boots, I originally wished to share my favourite boot from 1990: Rock In Rio. However, since user dan_augen beat me on this, I selected another one. This is a very early show of this fantastic tour. The set list and the performances of the songs changed a bit till the later part (as on Rock In Rio).
Therefore this early show is very interesting. Particularly 'Golden Years' is nicely performed. Unfortunately, Bassman's quality rating "excellent sound quality" is not true IMHO. Judge for yourself with the attached sample. Compared with other releases from this tour, it is hard to believe that this is a soundboard recording. If so, then it is really a bad soundboard..<- Info taken from original .nfo file>.
